Free Full Albums and Music on Aol Music?

Listen but don't download
The first thing you'll notice is that on Aol's free music, you get to listen, but not download. They have a top ten list, but its like in the store, preview, but if you want it, you gotta buy it. Seems fair right?
Free CD Listening Party?
Aol wants to show us a party with their free cd listening party. You can listen to full free albums for a limited time. Most of the time the cds are new, and from all different genres. Today I was listening to a rap cd and then a soundtrack. Want to listen in? Click here.

Rip Music from Myspace Online

Using http://www.myspacemp3.org/ lets you rip and music that you want directly from Myspace.
The interface is simple, but it was a bit confusing in figuring out what to type for the band ID. It is actually quite simple.I wanted to download a few songs by James Holden.
1. First I found James Holden's profile. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=76802360
2. Now copy the friendID. For James Holden that happens to be 76802360 as seen above.
3. Log into http://www.myspacemp3.org/ and type in 76802360 for the band ID.
4. After clicking "Get Songs"a list of songs will appear. Simple right click, download and enjoy.

Free Albums Galore, Free Mp3 Albums Online

One thing I've learned to expect when dealing with free albums is, not to expect anything mainstream. Big artists aren't giving there albums away anytime soon, unless you happen to be Radiohead and can practically give your album for free in the Mp3 format.
What is the music like on FreeAlbumsGalore.blogsome.com?
Funky, strange, and electronic. If you like everything out of the ordinary, then this is a good place to start...

iSound, Free Mp3 from Unsigned Artists
0 Comments Published by Nick on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at 2:12 PM.
As you can tell, if I can have music on this site, that fact alone lets you know that you will everything from artists who definately should never be signed, to music that will make you wonder, why are they still unsigned? In any case all the mp3s on this site are free whether you want to download the music or not.
Are you a striving artist?
Just for signing up and putting a few of my own songs, I've met other aspiring artists and even had some of my music on the iSound charts. Even if you aren't the artist type, I've found a really good conversation starter is to just load up a cd full of unknown artists from iSound. Then when your friends hear it they can ask, so who was that, then you can go into your whole speech about how you are so interesting and you like unsigned artists and so on...

With bands like iClash and Shapiro Project you may find yourself lost in their large yet, widely unknown selection of music. Don't fret, they is why they have cleverly adding a rating system to help give you a better idea what you should listen to. Though I have quickly discovered that even with a rating system, it doesn't prevent you from listening to artists who just shouldn't be making music.

Listen to music online, smashitsusa, Full mp3 albums online

Full Albums online
The best feature of Smashitusa is their full streaming albums online. While many sites offer a few sample mp3s, Smashitusa lets you listen to the whole thing. Now don't get get too excited, their album list is lacking to say none the least. It has a majority of older albums than new. Maybe a way to cut costs?
Don't know what to listen to?
One feature I do like on Smashitusa.com is their listening of top songs by year. They list the top songs of the year from 1980 until 2006. If you don't know what you want, this is a good place to start.

Loca's Mission
"LOCA is releasing music under so-called copyleft, a license that enables music writers to develop music collaboratively and equitably and then release it into the commons. The major record labels believe that music is a product to be squeezed of every last vestige of profit. In contrast, LOCA believes that creativity requires that musicians reappropriate and reinterpret music and sounds to enable them to create truly innovative music."

Plenty of free electronic mp3 music
They have to date, 161 pages of electronic music. After listening to their current mix , I would have to say its rather interesting. It sounded more like I was listening to the sound of pipes than actually music.
Thankfully you can stream the music directly of the site before you download it. (This way you don't end up downloading music you don't like.)

Does being a signed artist make you good?
Though usually a good sign that an artist has talent is the fact that they are signed by a major record label. ArtistServer.com has some pretty impressive artists who probably don't earn a dime for their music. Sad that there are so many great artists giving us free Mp3 Music. Sad for them, good for us. Why I Like this Site
Almost all the music on this site was completely new to me, yet this is a good thing. Here you'll hear some of the best music from artists you never even knew existed. Want to keep your friends guessing on your next road trip? This is certainly one way to do it. If you just feel lost on the site and unable to determine what mp3 music is even worth downloading, just check out their top ten list.
The Best Unsigned Artists
Try checking out the favorite artists link. Here you'll find some of the best assigned artists on the net. Sadly, while many of these artists are really good, most of them never will get signed, because there are simply just too many artists and not enough money floating around to hire all of them...

Unlike services like Deezer, the quality on most of the music here is subpar. Don't expect anything close to cd quality, but you will be able to get a good radio quality listen to tracks.

Why is Winamp so great?
Who knows why we even use winamp, I mean there are plenty of Mp3 players out there, many which don't make much a difference in playing mp3s. Perhaps it's all the easy enhancements like skin changes or could it be it's square design? In any case, my electronic music is always being played on Winamp, Microsoft's Media player just doesn't cut it....

8 pages of music...
That's right they have 8 pages of interesting psychedelic trance music. While the songs they have on here are not from any big labels, they are worth looking into. While most sites give you 30 minutes of samples. This site will you give you the entire album to listen to. Listen here.
High Octane Tribal Trance
Heavy drums and a strong driving groove provide each thematic exploration with considerable energy. Playful melodies and themed samples emphasize the tribal focus of each piece. Listen to the Sound Field - Afro-Dust EP, to see what exactly I'm talking about.

G2P.org simply adds some important search information to help you find mp3s within google. Does it work? Definitely. If you are looking for a single track, unless the song is very obscure, you are likely find it. As for full mp3 albums, that is a different story.

Pandora is a music site that takes the name of an artist you like and attempts to play all other artists that sound like them in order to help you discover new music.
How to Rip Pandora's Music
First of all Before you do anything.
1. Make sure you are using latest Java.
2. Have FireFox
3. Windows Xp
Download the latest version of Pandora: Pandora Beta 7.4.0
Now when you download, "Save it to Desktop" just so we don't get confused.
Now make a new folder on your desktop name it "Pandora"
Put the file in that folder and extract it in there. Now go back to your desktop and right click Pandora Folder and click "cut"
Right Click Start. Go to Explorer then Local Disk (C: ) or just C:
Now to the right you will see a list of folders and junk just ignore it. Right click in a white area and press "Paste" You will notice your folder is there.
Now minimize that and go to Start/Run and type cmd then press ok.
A black screen should show up (this is your Dos).
Type in "cd c:\pandora" (Without Quotes)
Now type "java -jar pandora.jar 8085" (Without Quotes)
A blue screen should show up saying something about "Now were ready to rip Mp3's" something like that.
Now Minimize that and everything else. Open up Firefox and type this exactly: "http://localhost:8085" (Without Quotes)
When done correctly it will take you to Pandoras website along with Pandora hack mixed in.
Now just do normal Searching of your music and it will take 10 - 20 seconds depending on your Net Connection. All Music will be saved in your Pandora folder you made.
*Important*
When your listening to a song and you don't like it and switch to another song make sure that it doesn't say something like "fetching ID3 information and tagging MP3 for artist *** song ***...." Or else everything will crash and you will need to redo everything again. So just wait untill it says "MP3 tagged and saved:
C:\Pandora\Documents and Settings***DesktopMusic\mp3\***\***.mp3"
Guide is thanks to Irieb found on a hak5.org forum

*If you want the song information stored and individual tracks to be ripped, make sure to choose a internet station that shows the song titles in its stream. Some stations don't display track titles only the station name. In this case, rip the station and you will end up with one long mp3 file and not individual tracks.
Downsides?
Ripping music from Internet Radio results in getting music the same quality as the station being recorded (of course). Sometimes the ripper catches the song too late after it starts and some of the song ends up missing.

Spiral Frog, Free Mp3s Online

I'm thinking of such services as emule, limewire, or g2p.org, which let you get music for free, but then you risk the chance of getting found out and going to court as many unfortunate people have.
The Spiral Frog Free Mp3 Service
Spiral Frog.com looks just like that of yahoo's music download service, yet as long as you register for an account, you will be able to download music for free. The music on the site is lacking, but they do have a few newer artists like Rihanna's song Umbrella.
In any case Spiral Frog is worth a look since there is no requirements or payment to signup and listen to what limited music selection they have.

What happens when you upload your music and your computer crashed? You need to rip it off Deezer (a completely legal reason to use this method to rip Deezer music).
How to Rip Music from Deezer
1. First of all, you need Firefox.
After getting Firefox
1. Install DownloadHelper add-on and restart Firefox.
2. Open ‘Customize Toolbar’ dialog, find the icon for DownloadHelper and drag it onto the toolbar at the top.
3. Right click on the icon -> Preferences -> MediaReq tab -> add ‘php’ as a supported extension.
4. Go to deezer.com, play a song that you want to download, and you should see DownloadHelper’s icon being animated (spinning) now.
5. Click on the down arrow on the icon (not on the icon itself), then click on cacheDiffusion.php and in the Save file dialog, name it to whatever.mp3.
Special things to consider
Note that it is not possible to download more than one song (like all the songs in a playlist) at a time from this site.
When saving music, save it as "Your Filename".mp3. You need the .mp3 extension so that your computer will recognize that it is as a music file.
Tips if it doesn't work
If your download is blank. Try navigating away from the Deezer page and going back to your song, it usually works on the second time you visit the webpage.
Don't Abuse Deezer
Those who abuse this, would be stealing tons and tons of music from a nice website.

Listen to full Albums Free
Deezer has a good selection of music. After I searched for Moby, I was able to stream the entire album right from the website without signing up. Granted they don't have every album, but the selection is large enough for me not to complain. It was hard finding an artist they don't have a full album for.
Limitations
Though you can listen to entire music albums for free, you can't download anything. As long as you have an internet connection, you won't really need to. Just create a playlist and have easy access to the music whenever you need it.
The only other complaint I have with Deezer is it's player. It seems to skip at after about one minute into the song. It's as if it has trouble loading the entire song.
Getting Started
Visit the website, Deezer.com, and start your search.
